Meghan Durant has a passion for people and building meaningful connections. Combined with her love of writing and storytelling, she finds joy in building unique communication strategies to reach different audiences and communities.

In 2018, Meghan graduated from the University of South Carolina, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Minor in Public Relations and Advertising. During her time at USC, her interests in writing and policy led her to a fellowship with the City of Columbia’s Office of the Mayor, and as a communications intern for the Massachusetts Public Interest Research Group and the South Carolina Democratic Party. While still earning her degree, Meghan worked as a Deputy Communications Director during the 2018 election cycle.

Before joining NP Strategy, Meghan served as the Communications Director for the South Carolina Senate Democratic Caucus, where she worked closely with lawmakers to craft messaging around complex policy and campaign issues.

Meghan grew up on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, but happily calls Charleston home now. In her free time, you can find her keeping up with the latest TikTok trends or going for walks along the Battery with a coffee from a local shop.
