John Cassibry is a proven communicator with a passion for storytelling. From sharing jokes with friends to executing highly visible communications campaigns, John’s love for storytelling has turned into a passion for finding innovative ways to reach audiences and staying on top of the communication industry’s ever-changing nature.
A Bethesda, Maryland native, John moved to Columbia, South Carolina when he was 10 years old. John spent his most formative years in Columbia and chose to stay home to attend the University of South Carolina where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and earned leadership distinction in professional and civic engagement.
John holds years of experience in the field of marketing and communications. Prior to joining NP Strategy, John spent time leading communications efforts for political campaigns, nonprofits, and think tanks. He has also worked on numerous multimedia productions for various colleges and universities.
Outside of work, John enjoys rounds of over-par golf, traveling with his wife Hannah, and playing Spikeball on the beaches in Charleston where he currently resides. He is a passionate Washington Nationals fan which has caused emotional instability for him since their inaugural season in 2005. John is also insistent that the University of South Carolina is indeed the real Carolina, and the original Wagon Wheel is superior to fellow alumnus Darius Rucker’s rendition.
