Briana Bryant to Lead NP Strategy Birmingham Office

Birmingham, AL.  [June 15, 2023] –  NP Strategy (NPS+), a strategic communications firm providing crisis, media and public relations assistance, welcomes Briana Bryant to its office in Birmingham, Alabama. Bryant, an award-winning public relations professional with a decade of industry experience, joins the NPS+ team as a Director. Her arrival marks the firm’s move into the Alabama market following the merger of its parent company Maynard Nexsen earlier this year.

“We are thrilled to establish our presence in a new market and Briana will play an integral role in growing our client base near and far,” said Heather (Hoopes) Matthews, CEO of NP Strategy. “Briana’s unique background and years of strategic communications experience makes her a natural fit on our dynamic team. We are grateful to have Briana with us on this new and exciting chapter for our firm.”

Prior to joining NP Strategy, Bryant led internal and external communications for Southern Research, a high-growth life sciences research organization based in Birmingham. She also previously served in a similar role at the UAB Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, where she led storytelling for the university’s technology transfer office.

“I am honored to take on this new role and help NP Strategy expand its reach in a new market,” Bryant said. “I look forward to offering my industry knowledge, passion for storytelling and established roots in Birmingham to help clients thrive.”

Bryant was recently named Women’s Empowerment Champion by PR News, and has received multiple Medallion Awards from the Public Relations Council of Alabama (PRCA) for her work leading client campaigns and developing PR strategies. She is a dedicated community advocate and has served in a number of leadership roles in PRCA and the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSA). She currently serves on the board of directors for the Alabama Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and PRSA’s Southeast District.

The Los Angeles native planted roots in Birmingham in 2015. She received a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s in communications from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
