Greg Hicks Joins Fast-Growing Strategic Communications Team

NP Strategy (NPS+), a strategic communications firm providing crisis, media and public relations services, today announces its newest hire Greg Hicks, who will serve as a Project Specialist. Prior to joining the NPS team, Hicks served as the Director of Communications for the Mecklenburg County Bar Association in North Carolina.

“Greg’s background in communications and the legal industry will make him a huge asset for both our clients and the NPS team,” said Heather (Hoopes) Matthews, NP Strategy CEO. “Greg understands the value of clear communication and knows how to develop an effective strategy from start to finish. His enthusiasm for helping others, knack for creative storytelling and digital media adds value that will help enhance our client services.”

Hicks is the 7th new team member to join NP Strategy since January 2022.  He spent nearly eight years with the Mecklenburg County Bar serving in various roles including director of support services, digital media, and most recently communications. During his tenure there, he boosted the organization’s engagement by leveraging social media, video and podcasts and helped more than 5,500 members of the local legal community maximize membership benefits.

Hicks graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a major in history and a minor in mass communication. He will work at NP Strategy’s office in Charlotte.
